Open, unbiased discussions often facilitate the generation and evolution of exciting new ideas. In an easy, non-formal setting such a BarCamp, these discussions can help unleash the potential of learning through sharing. Furthermore, gatherings like these also serve as a means to improve networking between participants.” |

| BarCamp UAE follows an exciting tradition taking hold worldwide, with thousands of people of diverse backgrounds congregating at BarCamps hosted in cities the world over on a regular basis, with the single goal of driving learning and knowledge-share forward without the shackles of convention that grip the corporate world in this day and age. At BarCamp UAE, there was no set range of topics or theme to constrain the discussion, with the agenda bring driven by the participants themselves. Unlike conventional seminars, BarCamp events enable direct connection and interaction of presenters and their audience. Participants could initiate a topic with a brief presentation and all participants were expected to join in the discussion with their thoughts and opinions. Cutting-edge digital technology/media, in the form of live online video transmission, blogging and twittering, allowed people outside UAE to join in the sessions as well. |
